John Kane is 7 year old boy. He was born premature that caused his mother to undergone cesarian procedure to deliver John Kane safely. After he was born, they discovered that he has Down Syndrome and that he does not have a hole in his anus. On the next day after he was born, he underwent his first operation which is called Colostomy so that he would not be intoxicated with waste.

In 2015, John Kane became one of the sponsored children of Maya’s Hope in partnership with Bless the Children Foundation. On the same year, he underwent his second and third operation which was to close his Colostomy and Imperforated Anus in which the doctor put a hole in his anus. After his operation and recovery, he also started schooling at Saint John of God Special School.

Presently, John Kane is studying at Bless Learning Resources. He showed great improvement. In school, he can now express himself by uttering more words because of his continuous speech therapy. He can pronounce words clearly without stuttering. He also became independent by eating alone. He has a daily routine in which he can wear his clothes and slippers or shoes all by his self. He knows how to identify numbers and letters in the alphabet. John Kane needs continuous support for his therapy education that will help him to develop faster.
