CHILD SPONSORSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

This refers to the direct family funding, academic tutorial sessions, social skills training and workshops, and talent workshops.

HEALTH PROGRAM

ZERO MALNUTRITION and ZERO CAVITY are the main goal of BCFI to the sponsored children, done through daily feeding programs, medical and dental check-ups, and also basic psychological services are provided.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

BCFI provides opportunities to the beneficiaries through livelihood and vocational skills program, community social housing program, and values and spiritual formation capacity development.

PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

BCFI is in partnership with Maya’s Hope Foundation in improving the quality of life of children with special needs through funding their medical and health needs and providing therapy sessions.

PARTNERSHIP AND NETWORKING

The foundation have partnerships with similar organizations and other people in order to help and reach more with its advocacies through external linkages and volunteer programs, both local and foreign.

our history

The Manila Mission had always operated under Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin DePorres, Inc. since its inception in 2002 until a time when the mission had to have its own legal identity and so BYSMP Bless the Children Foundation, Inc. was incorporated in February 2015.

In July 1, 2013, a Contract of Lease was inked between Bahay at Yaman ni San Martin de Porres, Inc. and The John DV Salvador Foundation allowing St. Martin – Bless the Children to use the Centro Salvador for free so that it is accessible for the community programs for the disadvantaged sector. On the same fateful day, an agency agreement was also signed with Chalice Canada to signal the start of the Chalice Child Sponsorship Program in Tondo, as a sub-site of Bulacan sponsorship site. Fifty children initially benefitted from the program and eventually, the number of children beneficiaries grew through the months that followed.

In July 1, 2015, Chalice Canada confidently raised Tondo sub-site as an independent Chalice sponsorship site. The new site status broaden the coverage of the foundation – more children sponsored, families being assisted – always keeping with Chalice Mission of Sharing Christ with all in need.

At present, St. Martin – Bless the Children continue to reach out to the communities on a bigger and better scale with the assistance of its partners and donors. The valuable support from networks and partner organizations give the organization opportunities to opportunities to extend assistance to uplift the quality of life of its families-beneficiaries.
