Our #BeBlessed Stories: On Fairness and Blessings

INSPIRING CHANGE, EMPOWERING WITH HOPE.

On Fairness and Blessings

Hannah is an incoming Bachelor of Science in Office Administration student at EARIST and has been a BCFI scholar since she was in Grade 6. Challenges are not new to Hannah, but the answers she provided to our interview questions prove that she is not one to back down from them. In the future, she would like to create and lead an organization that will help others reach their goals.

Tell us about yourself.

Good day! I’m Hanna Jane O. Balidiong, 18 years old, and I plan to study Bachelor of Science in Office Administration (BSOA) this school year in Eulogio “Amang” Rodriguez Institute of Science and Technology (EARIST). BCFI helped me already in six or seven years in my study. I was in grade 6 when I was finally accepted as a scholar in BCFI.

Can you tell us about your goals and dreams in life?

I plan to study BSOA in EARIST as a freshman this coming school year.

What would you like to achieve this year?

My first dream was to be an accountant or any work related in finance. Unfortunately, I failed the entrance exam in UDM so I decided to study in EARIST. However, they don’t have accountancy or finance course so I chose BSOA instead. I think this course will help me a lot in my chosen field. Of course this will help me reach my goals and dreams in life.

What is the hardest challenge you have encountered this past year?

My goal this 2021 is to finally decide which course I am going to take. I also plan to work as part-time in order to support my studies.

The hardest challenge that I encounter this past year was when we struggled financially and when we faced the sudden changes in our daily activities due to the pandemic.

What is your #BLESSED story with BCFI?

BCFI gave me one of the greatest blessings that come to my life. This foundation helped me since I was grade 6 so they already part of me. I’m grateful and proud to say that I’m one of their scholars. BCFI thought me a lot of things that can help me decide and explore the world. Because of BCFI I want to build a foundation that will help people like me to reach their goals.

Let us share the hope around! What is your message for everyone who will be reading this?

Life is not fair. Not everyone is lucky enough to have the life that they want. In life, there will be times that you will question your worth, value and even your existence. But that’s okay. These times will help you see how strong and brave you have become. To be able to answer these questions means I have overcome the past challenges and I am still doing it today.

Life is not fair but we don’t need to be. May God bless us all.

Hannah’s courage to keep pushing forward in life despite the challenges reminds us that we to can overcome the hurdles we have in life. More inspiring stories from the members of the BCFI community will be featured in the coming weeks. To stay updated, make sure to follow us on Facebook and support the Be Blessed Marketplace here.
